A Pattern Book can be a long-term judge pattern book, a discipline library, a season's work, or a collection for one upcoming show. The same pattern can be organized in several books without creating duplicate working files.
Tags and classification make the library searchable beyond file names. Notes can capture why a route worked, what should change next time, or which division it suited.

Safe adaptation
Choose when an edit should travel—and when it should not.
One saved pattern may belong to several organizational books. If you edit that saved pattern, each book sees the update. ShowPatterns warns you when that is about to happen.
When a different show needs its own route, class header, or instructions, create an independent copy in the pattern area. The new pattern can change freely while retaining the foundation for its origin history.
Deliver the show
Hand off individual patterns or a complete publication.
Share an individual read-only pattern for review, or work with the show team to arrange all classes in a Show Book. A published version gives exhibitors one online source and the show office one complete PDF.
Each publication is frozen, so later library edits cannot silently alter the version already supplied to the show.

Can I start a pattern without an account?
Yes. Open the editor and begin with a blank page or included template. A free account is needed for a larger cross-device library and editable copies of shared patterns.
Can I organize the same pattern by discipline and by show?
Yes. One saved pattern can belong to multiple Pattern Books without creating another copy.
Will changing a pattern alter an old published book?
No. Published Show Pattern Book versions are frozen. Working edits only appear after a new version is published.
Does ShowPatterns determine whether a pattern is legal?
No. Judges and show management remain responsible for checking current association rules, division requirements, arena dimensions, spacing, and safety.
